Becca has been my 2 girls (ages 10 & 13) music teacher for close to 4 years now. Becca knows how to best teach my kids how to play violin and piano because she assess each child’s personality and get them excited and interested in learning music. For example, when my church wanted my kids to play some Christmas music she would find a way to gear it to their abilities and help them practice and give them good and sound advice. My kids grew up knowing her and they would not want another music teacher!

My daughters, Gabriella and Gretchen, took music lessons from Becca starting at a very young age. Gabriella began in kindergarten and Gretchen started before she could even read. I was always amazed at how Becca could help them understand the musical alphabet before they had a complete grasp of the regular alphabet. They also learned other things through music first. When Gretchen was just starting on the piano, she was also trying to learn left and right. Although she couldn’t always keep those straight, she knew her bass clef and treble clef hands, so that is how we did directions in our house for quite a while.
During her time with us, Becca taught both girls to play the piano and also taught Gabriella to play the guitar. With that solid musical foundation, Gabriella has gone on to play both the clarinet and violin. I truly believe Becca’s time with her is what allowed Gabriella to have learned four instruments at only 11 years old.
Becca is a truly caring and compassionate individual. Not only did she foster our girls’ love of music and playing, she also really cared about them and our family. She always took the time to celebrate anything they were excited about, or to listen and console the girls if they’d had a bad week. For nearly six years, Becca came into our home every week, and over time became a part of our family. She is a wonderful music teacher and mentor.

Becca has taught our daughter violin for three years. She is a superb violinist herself and a fun, creative, and flexible teacher. Becca does a great job maximizing the lesson time and assigning a manageable but focused amount of practice. Our favorite thing, though, is when Becca brings out her own violin and accompanies our daughter on the songs! Even Twinkle Twinkle can sound beautiful when played by two harmonious violins. Hearing Becca play the violin inspires my daughter to keep learning the instrument!
